Plus size clothing retailer Ashley Stewart has been growing over 200 walk-in stores across the United States since the early nineties when Joseph Sitt opened the first retail location. Under new management since early two-thousand it continues to thrive by expanding its market on the internet.

Selection: Ashley Stewart carries a bright and demure collection of tops, sweaters, pants, denim, dresses, swimwear and accessories. They also have Jill Scott's limited edition Butterfly Bra collection.
Sizing: Ashley Stewart offers plus size fashions in sizes 12 to 26. Not all styles are available in all sizes. They also have a "basics" collection in sizes 28 to 32.
Styling: Their fashions are designed for young business women and moms who want to look good. The focus of this line is on being well dressed and sexy rather than hip and trendy.
Pricing: Ashley Stewart's clothing is at the higher end of budget wise but overall prices still fall under $60. Most tops are under $30. Most pants are under $40. And most dresses are under $50. They have a "diva deal" section with under $20 items.
Availability: Ashley Stewart has a flat-rate shipping of $8.95 U.S. ground shipping that doesn't change with the amount you order. At the moment they don't cater to international shoppers.
Overall Impression: I love the clothing and the main page is inviting I would just like to see some real models instead of mannequins (other than the Butterfly collection which is all woman). The clothing is bright with lots of variety in style. They lean toward a demure every day fashion which is a nice variation to the growing "trendy" fashion scene. They have reasonable shipping that allows the shopper to put their shopping dollars toward clothing instead of freight. Hopefully they will get that international shipping up and running soon. Until then, if you live in the United States, I highly recommend you check them out.
