Flatter Your Body Shape with the Right Swimsuit

Flatter Your Body Shape with the Right Swimsuit
It’s been a long cold winter, summer has arrived and you’re thinking swimsuit. You hit the dressing room with an armload of swimsuits, but the minute you try the first suit on you’re self conscious about how you look. And, after an hour you still haven’t found the right suit and end up putting them all back on the rack.
If you see yourself in this picture, you are not alone. It can seem overwhelming trying to find a suit that is flattering and comfortable to wear. But, fear not, regardless of your body shape there is a suit with your name on it.

If you happen to be pear shaped, or larger on the bottom than the top, don’t feel like you have to wear a skirt or tent to hide your bottom half. Look for a suit that will draw attention to your middle or neckline.

In essence you want the eye to move upwards not downwards. A two piece with a lighter colored top or other standout feature that will draw the eye upward works wonders. And don’t worry if your thighs are a little heavy. Show them off in a suit that is cut higher on the bottom and you’ll be amazed at how great you look.

Bold colored one piece suits work well for curvy or large busted women. If you happen to have curves, be grateful, thank your gene pool and have fun looking. You have a wide range of options and can get away with virtually any type of suit.

If a large bust line defines your shape take a look at a halter top that has wide straps and built-in bras for extra support. Do consider a suit that will hold your bust line while you are moving around or participating in water sports. Don’t forget you want to be comfortable and sensuous while keeping your assets under cover.

Okay, you might be a little short on curves but that doesn’t mean you can’t look great. The choices you have are virtually limitless and you can find the curves you’re looking for.

Draw attention to your waist with simple accents like belts, a sarong or ruffle and you’ll suddenly find you have shape and definition and will be more than ready to hit the beach.

Or, maybe you have a little pouch in the front. Toss away the cover ups. You too can wear a variety of styles and colors; just choose a suit that has a panel for control.

Those on the tall side can draw attention to other areas beside their height, like their legs for instance. Select a bottom that has some type of hip adornment like a tie. This will place the focus along your legs rather than your overall height.

If you are short in stature, give yourself longer looking legs by choosing a suit that has a higher cut at the thigh. Skip the skirts; your legs will only look shorter. And, select suits that have a vertical design or a V neckline.

You might even find yourself falling into several body shapes. You might be pear-shaped and on the short side or you might be thin and on the tall side. Understanding and working with your body shape rather than fighting against it will have you seaside in short order and out of the dressing room quickly.
