Odd Count Peyote Ring Graph

I love these little rings. They work up quite quickly. My original versions I can't use in this article because I made myself fandom based rings for comic books we read.

This project assumes you know how to do odd count peyote. I usually use the figure 8 turn around for these, but you can use the quicker method I illustrated here. Next week I'll post instructions for the figure 8 turn around. You can also do these in brick stitch. The pattern is designed for size 11 Delicas, but you can easily adapt the technique to seed beads which will change the shape a bit, or do them in the size 15 Delicas for a more petite ring. I use Sono thread for my rings because it's very strong in a single thread. It's always easier for me when I start odd count peyote or brick stitch to do the widest part of the graph first. Start from the middle and work out so I'm decreasing instead of increasing.
To make the ring, first bead the ring part. The part that goes around your finger you'll make as long as you need to fit around your finger with the ends zipped closed. The medallion that goes on top is centered to the top of ring and stitched into place using square stitch. I chose a bright summery orange slice for my example pattern. Right click to save the graphs.

You can graph snowflakes or flowers using the method shown here but on a smaller scale.
This is a lovely fast project. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
