Strawberry Earring Pattern

Strawberry Earring Pattern

It's summer finally here in Alaska. We got a late start with snow still on the ground in mid-May in some spots so I didn't get my planting started until this week. But I have strawberries, peas, spinach and pansies started now.
To celebrate summer, how about some strawberry earrings? Your choice, plain or chocolate covered. One of each is also interesting and fun. I love wearing themed earrings that don't match exactly.

These are from my Sweets pattern set which is available at Etsy and comes with brick stitch instructions in PDF format, and patterns for 4 more pairs of summery sweet earrings. Lollipops, ice cream, cherry pie and chocolate chip cookies. Notice one of the chocolate chip cookie earrings is missing one bite for fun not completely matching pair.

There are a lot of great articles here on BellaOnline about strawberries.
If you need help growing them, our container gardening host has a couple great articles,
Strawberries - Choosing Which to Grow and Planting a Strawberry Tower. Our English Garden site has some information about the history of strawberries and how to grow them here.
Our desserts editor has recipes for when you harvest them like Fresh Strawberry Pie and "Real" Strawberry Shortcake. Our Holiday and Seasonal Cooking Editor has one of my favorites, Strawberry Banana Frosty.
If you want to do more garden style beading, Diane Fitzgerald's flowers can be a lot of fun.
