Makeover Tips for Hairstyle, Makeup & Fashion
Stuck in a beauty rut and looking for makeover solutions? You're not alone. Many women fall into a beauty routine and then without realizing it, stick with the same look for 10, 20 years or more!

Here are some makeover tips to update your look without breaking the bank.

Your Hairstyle Makeover - Ditch your standard cut and color and try something a new. Grab the latest edition of your favorite gossip magazine and look for styles that could work for you. Which celebrities around your age have the look you love? Go get it for yourself. No one will know that you wanted Julia Roberts’ new bangs or Madonna’s subtle highlights – they’ll just see an updated, daring you.

Your Makeup Makeover - If you haven’t changed your beauty products in the last year or so, you’re missing out on some amazing advances in product. Take advantage of free skin evaluations and make-up trials at your local department store – you may feel obligated to buy something while you’re there, but remember that a purchase is not usually required.

Get your questions answered by the experts. What kind of moisturizer should you try? Which new colors would suit you this season? Get a demonstration with that new liquid eyeliner, or a trial size anti-line foundation – the trick is to ask, and learn. Take your new color and product knowledge to the drugstore and stock up on similar products for less.

Your Fashion Makeover - Here are 3 items we should all have in our closets:

One Great Pair of Jeans - Two words: current and dark. You need a great pair of jeans, in a dark, flattering cut. Resist the urge to buy 4 pairs for the cost of one. That one great pair will make you feel amazing, slim and stylish. There are amazing jeans in all sizes and cuts, check your local mall and bypass any shop that looks too young.

Tailored Blazer - A great blazer is the weapon of choice for those blah days when nothing is working. Throw your perfectly fit blazer on with a scarf, a blouse, a dress, your favorite weekend t-shirt – anything you like. A well-tailored jacket polishes any sloppy ensemble in seconds. Find the best-fitting upscale blazer in your price range, and then have it tailored. Your local seamstress can tuck and adjust your purchase to make it look like a million bucks.

Boots! - Whatever your personal style, grab a tall pair of boots and wear them with skirts and over a pair of skinnier jeans. Skinny jeans are not just for teens, pair yours with a longer sweater and a dark flat riding boot, or a tall slouchy suede heel. Don’t’ be shy - as long as your top is well-cut and appropriate, you can pull off a great winter booted look.
