Junior Bowling
Bowling Information
Junior Bowling Coaches Volunteer coaches are the backbone of all successful youth bowling programs. It doesn't take a high average to become one. What matters most is a person's desire to support and help our children to develop an interest in the sport of bowling Junior Bowling History Throughout the years, I never paid much attention to the history of junior bowling; but, when I decided to write about it, I was surprised to learn of how many changes have occurred over the relatively brief history of junior bowling. Junior Bowling Programs Kids bowling on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings in an organized and monitored junior bowling program are the future of our sport. Kids Should Join A League Junior Bowling has done a lot for them and I hope it will continue to do a lot for them in the future. Whether they stick with the sport or not, however, is totally up to them. I feel that their progress is due in great part because of their participation in an organized program. Let Them Have Fun They are still having a tough time dealing with the fact that their two girls aren't knocking down pins every time they throw the ball. Neither of the two adults bowl; but, it doesn't stop them from trying to tell the coaches how to coach their children. Teaching Junior Bowlers When coaching junior bowlers, we cannot focus only on the physical and skills-oriented aspects of the sport. The Perfect Junior Bowling Club From 1960 to 1967, the Junior Bowling Club of Hilo produced at least one state champion every year - I believe the total number of junior champions was at least 12. That is, "the success that that coach has actually experienced is the level that that coach can teach to." (If you have not bowled as a Pro, don't kid yourself into thinking you can teach them to perform like a Pro.)
