Two Shuttle Edgings Free Tatting Patterns

Here are some free tatting patterns which use two tatting shuttles in the work. These are edgings which would be suitable for anything from decorating handkerchief edgings to household linen.

Centro Comunione Fabio star[offsite link]
Here is a lovely edging which Edda Guastalla used for a communion centrepiece but which could be used for all kinds of circular mats and doilies.

Clover Edging star[offsite link]
This pretty example makes use of a second shuttle to create rings standing on top of chains.

Clover Twist Edging star[offsite link]
Here is another pretty pattern by Lisa Trumble, requiring the use of two shuttles.

Daisy Edging star[offsite link]
The advantage of these daisies is that you donīt have to join the first ring to the last in each daisy! There are a number of variations of this edging in different books and all are lovely.

Daisy Wave Edging star[offsite link]
Here is a pretty two shuttle edging by Lisa Trumble.

Early Century Edgings star[offsite link]
These edgings are again selections from magazines from the early part of the 20th Century.

Lady Chain Edging star[offsite link]
Here is a two shuttle edging by Lisa Trumble which would be ideal for the relative beginner in this area to try.

Mushroom Edging star[offsite link]
This one by Lisa Trumble makes use of lock joins and can be done with either one shuttle or two, but it is still not difficult and so pretty.

Pizzo Adriana star[offsite link]
Here is the lace edging on which Adrianaīs Cross is based.

Trailing Ivy Edging star[offsite link]
This pattern by Lisa Trumble is another very simple two shuttle design in which you switch shuttles to change the direction in which the rings lie.

Wave Edging star[offsite link]
Here is another pretty edging by Lisa Trumble which will give the tatter practise in working with lock joins and two shuttles.
