This Is She Review

This Is She Review
As an indie rock band with an additional electronica/dubstep sound, This Is She is a unique, original group that creates the perfect modern blend. Stepping outside the box to deliver catchy rhythms, relatable lyrics and new age sounds, This Is She is beginning to smell the sweet scent of success, and they don’t have any plans of slowing down soon.

Forming in 2011, the current band members originally shared the stage back in 2009 at The Warped Tour. Lead vocalist Alana Grace was pursuing a solo career while drummer Ryan Folden and guitarist Christian Paul were rocking the stage with their former band After Midnight Project when the soon-to-be trio first met. This Is She released their debut six-song EP titled Nobody Is Ok on July 3rd, 2012 after spending a few months writing and recording in North Hollywood, CA during 2011.

As the perfect introductory of This Is She, Nobody is OK delivers a fantastic blend of catchy pop tunes, heavily-distorted rock music, and blasts of modern electronic dance sounds. The lyrics and vocals are emotional, tortured, soulful and passionate on almost all of the EP’s six tracks, and consistently delivered with elegance and musical grace. Although the music and songs are filled with distortion, drumming and electronic beats, Alana Grace’s vocals do not get lost in the heavy music. The music is haunting, captivating and overall unique; the sound is unparalleled and has the ability to fit into almost any genre – all in all, This Is She is a band that has the staying power that is similar to certain musical greats. They are a band that is sure to not be ignored and their sound is created to be heard, remembered and ready to grow even bigger from here.

This Is She is an ultramodern rock trio that flawlessly mix powerful guitar riffs with elegant vocals and intense dubstep and electronica beats. If you’re looking for a band that will touch your emotions with piercing vocals and hypnotizing harmonies than you’ve found exactly what you’re looking for with This Is She.
