Zombie Dash - Droid

Zombie Dash - Droid
Zombie Dash is a simple side-scrolling game where you blast away at zombies. It's simple, mindless fun, and you can pass a few minutes in line or on a bus working to beat your previous high score.

The layout is quite simple. You can be a male or female zombie-killer, which is great. Then you run towards the right. Your two controls are to jump - with the left finger - and to shoot - with the right finger. There are plenty of zombies to shoot. For jumping, there are gaps in the ground, coins to aim for, obstacles to avoid, and so on.

You're judged both on the number of zombies you slay as far as the distance you're able to cover before the zombies or terrain inevitably get you. Which of course they always will. Maybe it's a fatalistic view of life, that it's only a matter of time before the zombies triumph :)

Occasionally you'll find power-ups and be able to get your hands on better weapons or armor. But, of course, that doesn't last for long. Because, as we all know, in the end the Zombie Apocalypse will triumph over us all.

Still, the game doesn't claim to be an in depth RPG or a trivia game to test our intellect. This is about slaying zombies, and it does it well. If you're waiting in line for the bus, or stuck sitting in a chair waiting for the clock to hit 4pm, this is the perfect way to pass the time for a few minutes. No long loading screens. No complicated systems to work your way through. Simply click a button and the zombie hoard advances on you. You do your best to hold them off for as long as you can.

The graphics are fairly low key, but they serve their purpose well. There are zombies. You shoot them. It's clear when to shoot and when to jump. So from that sense, the graphics do their job properly.

The sound is also fairly mindless. It's non-annoying, which is definitely a plus, and it doesn't interfere with gameplay at all. You can of course always turn it off and play some peaceful Bach music while you slaughter the waves of zombies.

Well recommended as a way to pass time for a few minutes.
