Lincoln City, Oregon, is one of those chipper coastal towns that you’ll want to return to, again and again. Lincoln City not only has a striking coastline to tantalize beachgoers, it’s got plenty to see and do to keep RVers of all ages happy.

What to do
Strolling along the beach doesn’t get much better than along the stretch of sand that connects Stiletz Bay to the Pacific Ocean. It’s called Taft Beach and it’s located in the historic Taft district. Once you’ve tired of collecting sea shells, watching the sunset, or braving the icy waters, it’s time to wander along SW 51st Street and check out the cute shops and restaurants located along the main drag. Those interested in history will want to check out the North Lincoln County Historical Museum located at 4907 SW Highway 101 . Admission to this festive museum is free and you’ll wander out with a much better appreciation for the area after your visit.

For a total change in scenery, drive to the north end of town and spend a few hours at the bustling Chinook Winds Casino, the only oceanfront casino in Oregon. Those looking for a good shopping deal will want to stop at the Tanger Outlet Mall closer to the center of town at 1500 SE East Devils Lake Road. And those seeking less of a crowd will want to explore Devils Lake State Recreation Area. It’s the only Oregon Coast campground located within city limits.

Where to Park your RV
Speaking of campgrounds, Devils Lake State Recreation Area has 25 full hookup sites in their cozy campground. If you want to be closer to the festive ding dinging of the slot machines, Logan Road RV Park is situated across the street from Chinook Winds Casino and boasts 51 full hookup sites and free shuttle service to the casino. If boondocking is more your speed, there is also a large RV parking lot at the casino where RVers can overnight for free.

Where to Eat
Take a step back in time at the super darling Eleanor’s Undertow Café and Ice Cream Parlor, located in the historic Taft district 869 SW 51st in Lincoln City. Ice cream, sandwiches and fries are the name of the game at this restaurant. They also serve a pretty coveted clam chowder.

My favorite restaurant on the Oregon coast has got to be Tiki’s, also located in the historic Taft district at 1005 SW 51st Street. Not only does Tiki’s treat patrons to a fun and festive atmosphere--complete with beach tunes, a darling gift shop, and a talking macaw parrot named Gypsy--they also have a unique menu filled with cocktails, Stumptown coffee creations, blended ice drinks, a juice bar, and lots of beachy-style menu items with vegan and gluten-free menu options.

Pacific Grind Café, located at 4741 SW Hwy 101, has got to be one of the friendliest and coziest coffee shops I’ve ever visited. My visit was all about the quaint atmosphere and delicious Cape Foulweather coffee-based concoctions. They also serve other tasty beverages and serve breakfast and lunch options.

And if you’re in the mood for some tasty Thai food, Jasmine Thai located at 1437 NW Highway 101 is your place. Their menu features fresh and delicious Thai food, including vegan and gluten-free options, and the portions are just right.
