SweepSheet Newsletter Review

SweepSheet Newsletter Review
Sweepstakes newsletters help take some of the work out of hunting down contests for you. SweepSheet has been around for over 20 years with almost 40 listings in each issue. The editor, Patti Osterheld, is an inspiring sweeper with many big and small prize wins to her name. She's been featured on the Good Morning America television program and in several magazines.

I like the simple layout of the issues which includes national listings for all the usual types of sweeps—both mail-in and online including social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Each listing has all the pertinent info you need to enter. There's also a section of Text-to-Win listings. These are becoming increasingly popular as they're easy to enter on your mobile phone and may cost less than postage depending on your billing plan.

A regular column is the fanatical sweepstaker profile which is always fun to read. Readers will glean tips to win from experienced sweepers and probably see some of themselves in each winner profiled. Interestingly, I've noticed that the mantra repeated over again in profiles in this newsletter and others like it is "just enter and forget it." Even so-called fanatics don't obsess over winning apparently.

The website has a members only section for subscribers with current sweeps that may not have made it in the newsletter. Once logged into your account there you can organize the sweeps you've entered. This section includes "Patti's Hot Flash!" area where you can find sweeps open in your state only.

I think SweepSheet is a good tool to have among your sweepstaking supplies especially if you're not one who likes entering contests online only. The subscription is bi-weekly in either mail or online format. As of this writing, the cost of a mail subscription is $60 for a year and $36 for half year. The online cost is $52 for a year and $30 for half year. There are also books and other supplies available to purchase.

The cost may be prohibitive for some so a free, older sample issue is available to download, but you can also buy a single recent issue cheaply to help you decide before spending the cash on a full year's subscription. You can subscribe via the newsletter website here. I've reviewed another popular guide, Best Sweepstakes, here. Good luck!
