Joy Television Network is expanding to the Hampton Roads and North Eastern North Carolina area on PAX 49 Broadcast Channel. Joy Television Network is a subsidiary of Jamila Joy Media Group. Providing diverse Christian programming initially on regional levels eventually spreading national and internationally is the goal. The Joy Television Network will showcase a mix of teaching, Gospel/Christian videos, talks shows, new artist spotlights, drama and comedy programs. The network's vision is to share a consistent message of hope, peace, love and forgiveness to all people.

The Joy Television Network is the brainchild of one of Richmond's most celebrated Gospel Radio Personalities, Jamila Joy. Joy's outstanding service recently earned her a Stellar Award nomination for "Gospel Radio Announcer of the Year."

Joy says, "We are excited to reach over 694,000 households offering a fresh approach to local Christian broadcasting, and an alternative to the senseless violence and bad language on today's television. The time has now come to use this powerful form of communication for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. We have been commissioned to carry the torch beyond the walls of the church."

Joy Television Network will air Saturdays on Adelphia in North Carolina channel 16, COX Cable 49 in Hampton Roads, Charter Cable in Suffolk and Franklin channels 13 & 14, also on Mediacom channel 17 in Edenton and Camden. The network will feature Kirk Cameron (From Growing Pains & Left Behind the Movie) and Ray Comfort's Way of the Master. JTN will showcase some of Virginia's most talented gospel musicians, music videos and community events.
