A Suite Engagement for Brenda Song

A Suite Engagement for Brenda Song
Brenda Song (23), who played London Tipton on the popular Disney shows “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and “The Suite Life on Deck” has recently gotten engaged! She is reportedly engaged to Trace Cyrus (22), the brother of another former Disney star- Miley Cyrus. The two began dating in early 2010, and got engaged earlier this month.

Speculation as to the seriousness of the two’s relationship had been swirling for months, and it was plain to see that they were close. It was hinted that an engagement was coming, but this was confirmed when Trace tweeted that he had proposed to Song and she accepted.

It is also reported that the happy couple are expecting their first child together. This speculation began in August, and as yet is still unconfirmed (I’ll consider it confirmed when it comes from either Trace Cyrus or Brenda Song), although whenever Song has been seen in public of late, it has been in baggy clothes. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything at all, but many stars seem to go the baggy clothes route to hide a pregnancy for as long as possible. One thing is for sure- time WILL tell.

Trace’s better known sibling, Miley Cyrus, has tweeted her thoughts about their impending nuptials as well. Apparently, the singer “can’t wait” for Brenda Song to become a Cyrus and is very excited to be getting a sister- in- law.

For my part, I wonder whether Brenda Song will keep her name. Will she become Brenda Cyrus? Brenda Song- Cyrus? She strikes me as the independent type, so I’m guessing that she’ll keep her own name, at least for work. Most recently, in addition to the “Suite Life” TV shows found on Disney, she’s also starred in “The Social Network”, a blockbuster film allegedly depicting the founding and subsequent lawsuits faced by the social media giant Facebook, and her fourth Disney Channel Original Movie “The Suite Life Movie”, based on the TV shows.

Her husband to be, Trace Cyrus, was a guitarist, songwriter, and front man for the group Metro Station before they broke up. Currently, he owns a clothing company called “From Backseats to Bedrooms”, and was featured in a song for Billy Ray Cyrus’ band, “Brother Clyde”.

So, nothing but well wishes for Brenda and Trace as they begin their lives together- I hope it works out for the best. What do you think of their impending nuptials?
