Make Exercise a Part of Your Day

Make Exercise a Part of Your Day
It is commonly known that the more physically active you are, the healthier you will be. It’s not necessary to join a gym in order to use enough calories each day to stay healthy. Here are some simple tips to naturally help you use exercise through each day.

Go for a walk. Leave your house on your feet and not in the car. Walk for 20 minutes, turn around and walk home. Do this 3-6 times a week and you will notice the difference. There’s nothing like fresh air to make you feel good if you are a little down. This is a good exercise to do with a friend or family member.

Clean your home. Give your home a deep clean and you will burn calories at the same time. Scrubbing hard uses a lot of energy and you will have the addition of feeling good when everything is looking better.

Mow your own lawn. Better still, don’t use an electric lawn mower, but a push mower. Then get down on your hands and knees and pull the weeds.

Walk short journeys and leave the car at home. That way you will save money as well as getting good exercise. Don’t park next to where you are going, but leave yourself a little walk at the end of your car ride.

If exercising for an hour a day is too much, then try two sessions of 30 minutes. The results will be the same.

Buy an exercise DVD, there are many workouts on DVD that you can follow including pilates, yoga, aerobics, dancing and many more.

When you need to go up stairs, run instead of walking.

Invest in a rebounder. This is a small trampoline where you can walk in place while watching TV. Or, if you have a treadmill, put it in front of the TV and walk on that while watching your favorite program.

If you are looking after children, join in the fun and games with them instead of sitting watching them play.

Exercise doesn’t need to be expensive. Think about doing a small amount of exercise regularly through the day. The important thing is not to sit like a couch potato, but to be up and active as much as you can and as frequently as possible.
