Daniel Wu is a Best Actor of the Year nominee in the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards. Also, he is a nominee in the Best Supporting Actor category. The award show is March 27, 2005 in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Coliseum is the setting for the presentations. A group of more than 8,000 people is expected.

Daniel Wu’s character, Lai Fu, a hit man with issues in ‘One Nite in Mongkok’ brought him to the attention of the Film Award Association. It is this movie for which he receives the Best Actor of the Year nomination.

‘New Police Story’ is the vehicle which gives Daniel Wu the nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His portrayal of evil Joe caught the voters’ attention.
