Trace Adkins - Songs About Me

Trace Adkins - Songs About Me
Trace Adkins, the man with the distinctive voice is back with a brand new CD! Released on Tuesday, March 22, this CD is sure to bring new fans to his music.

Ok, I admit that I have fallen in love with Trace's voice, it is just one of those raspy, deep voices that makes me melt, the fact that he is tall and not hard on the eyes doesn't hurt either. After hearing the first single, Songs About Me, off his new CD on the radio got me excited about the new music coming out and he didn't disappoint. From the title track to the final Honky Tonk Badonkadonk this CD is full of ballads and fun songs that Trace does so well. His emotions come thru on his songs.

Track 1: Songs About Me is his latest single that is playing on radio stations now. It talks about the prejudice about country music being nothing but twangy, drown in your beer songs. The man he talks about in the song comes to a show and discovers that country music isn't what he thought and actually enjoys it.

Track 2: Arlington talks about the heros of past wars coming home to Arlington cemetary from a soldiers point of view. He is honored to come home to Arlington even though he planned on growing old in his hometown.

Track 3: Find Me A Preacher is one song that you can see him singing when he fell in love with his wife and decided that she was the one he wanted to grow old with. It talks about a man that just can't wait to make the woman he loves his wife, he wants to do now, no more waiting.

Track 4: My Way Back talks about a young man leaving home and realizing that the things his parents are giving him for his trip aren't a way of getting rid of him, it's a way for him to find his way back if he needs to.

Track 5: I Wish It Was You is Trace singing about a love lost and he wants to find, he sees her in strangers faces and hopes that she is calling when the phone rings.

Track 6: Bring It On tells someone to bring their past baggage along and they can try to work thru it all and maybe find love in the process.

Track 7: My Heaven talks about his idea of heaven. Warm summer days, sitting on the porch and just enjoying the things that he has been given.

Track 8: Baby I'm Home tells about man who comes home to a romantic evening with his woman. She has candles burning and isn't wearing much. The beat and tempo of the song makes it one of the "sexiest" songs on the CD.

Track 9: Metropolis tells of a small town man who leaves for the big city. It's not one of my favorites on the CD. I just can't seem to get into it.

Track 10: I Learned How To Love From You is talking about a man who didn't know he had the capability to love as much as he does. He says he learned it from the love of his life.

Track 11: Honky Tonk Badonkadonk has to be one of my favorite songs on the CD. If you can keep your toes from tapping or your rear in your seat, you are doing better than me. It's about a band playing and they have already played a song in their set, but want to play it again to get a certain woman up and dancing again.
