Married at First Sight: A great experiment
When I first saw Married at First Sight, I expected to not like the show. It seemed like a silly social experiment that just would exploit people. However, once I started actually watching the show I was immediately sucked in. The cast members are compelling, coming from all walks of life.

Some of the cast members I instantly disliked, such as the nurse Jamie. She seemed very uptight and anal, and I was not surprised she was not in a relationship. Monet from Manhattan was also someone that grated on my nerves; she seemed as if she had some negative feelings towards men which came out in the different ways that she treated her new husband Vaughn. Vaughn did seem somewhat needy, but Monet seemed unable to express genuine feelings and care towards him.

I really liked the couple Courtney and her new husband Jason the firefighter. They had an instant attraction to each other and seemed genuinely pleased with the way the social experiment was going. They opted at the end of the five weeks to stay together, and to continue to work on their marriage. I thought they had they had great chemistry and honestly seem like they can go the distance.

It was sad when Monet and Vaughn decided to get divorced. They did seem to have problems meshing, but I felt that if they could have truly worked it out, over time they could have stayed together. I believe Monet's issues of not letting her partner get too close with such a traditional man like Vaughn were the downfall of the relationship. Sad, but hopefully it all worked out for the best. There will be a new series called Married at First Sight: the First Year, which I will definitely be watching. I believe they are now filming for season 2 and I am excited to see it, since it shows some clashing with Jamie and her hubby and Courtney and Jason. Jason's mother passes away, and he is gone alot with work for the fire academy.

It puts quite a strain on their relationship, as Cortney feels Jason does not open up. Guess we will have to wait and see!
