Instant Pot Seasoned Chicken Breasts Recipe

Instant Pot Seasoned Chicken Breasts Recipe
It's always helpful to have cooked chicken breasts around to use in recipes - shredded, sliced, chunked, etc. Chicken breasts can be shredded and mixed with sauces for sandwiches, chunked and mixed with other ingredients to make chicken salad, used plain, as is, on salads, and as an ingredient in casseroles or heated with sauces and used as main dishes. Plain chicken breasts are a zero points food on Weight Watchers, too, so they are a good thing to have around if you happen to be on the program. If you have an Instant Pot (most people probably do, since they were one of the top 5 gifts ordered on Amazon for Christmas 2017, which translates to millions), you can prepare lots of chicken breasts ahead and save yourself lots of time. The Instant Pot cooks the chicken perfectly; it comes out moist and juicy, and depending on which seasoning you use, has an excellent flavor. The cooked breasts can be stored in the freezer for several months. The seasoning makes these Instant Pot Seasoned Chicken Breasts taste much better than those that are simply poached.
””The luscious juices can be used to make gravy or au jus; they are very flavorful. Suggested seasonings are Smokey Mesquite, Fajita Seasoning, Taco Seasoning, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, Nawlin's Seasoning, or your personal favorite seasoning. If your seasoning doesn't contain salt, you'll need to sprinkle the breasts with a little salt and pepper before browning. Incidentally, if you're in a big hurry, you can skip the browning step, but the chicken breasts won't be as attractive. You'll also need to add 2 or 3 minutes to the cooking time. In this recipe, you can also use frozen breasts, in which case, you'll need to cook them 10 minutes.
