I missed reading the Harbinger, by Jonathan Cahn, back in 2011 when it was first published. It was brought to my attention recently and is just as fascinating today, if not more so.

Subtitled The Ancient Mystery That Holds The Secret of America's Future, it was bound to attract attention and became an instant New York Times bestseller. Anyone paying attention would want to know what's going on with the world, and in particular with America today. Where is God in what's happening in our nation? As believers, it should be plain to see that the nation is moving ever farther from God's word.

The Harbinger is written as fiction but the truths it contains, some of them mind-boggling, are real and can be verified. Such as the Old Testament prophecy of Isaiah. The historic facts of our nation's birth and moving forward to the tragedy of 9/11.

The book seeks to answer the questions:

• How is the fall of ancient Jerusalem related to the United States?


• How does 9/11 and Ground Zero fit in to Old Testament prophecy?


• What do the words of the prophet Isaiah mean for America?


• Is the United States under God's judgment?

As a student of the Bible, I have believed in the ancient prophecies and how they were fulfilled as shown in the Bible. The author of The Harbinger connects the prophecies concerning the decline and fall of ancient kingdom of Israel with present day United Sates. The results are stunning and a bit frightening.

Author Jonathan Cahn is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and pastor. His teachings are seen on television and radio throughout the nation and are known for their prophetic significance and the revealing of deep mysteries of God's Word.
