M & M Skillet Cookies Recipe
Skillet cookies are quick and easy, since the dough is mixed in the cast iron pan that they are baked in. They are also delicious, and the flavor options are endless. The following M & M Skillet Cookies are a favorite of kids and M & M lovers everywhere. The wedges are full of candy, and have a slightly chewy texture. While these cookies are made in a 12” cast iron skillet, you can use smaller skillets to make individual skillet cookies to be served warm topped with ice cream and sundae sauces or to share with someone else.

24 Wedges
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg

1 cup M & M's Candies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat in a 12" cast iron skillet.
  3. Add the brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla; stir until the mixture is slightly heated and well-combined.
  4. Turn off the heat; sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt over the top of the butter mixture.
  5. Break the egg into the center of the flour mixture.
  6. Stir the ingredients together, making sure the egg is combined first with the flour so it doesn't cook.
  7. Stir in the M & Ms, press evenly over the bottom of the pan, and place in the oven for 15 -20 minutes, or until the sides begin to brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let sit 10 minutes, then cut into wedges to serve.
