Love tomatoes? Tomato Love: 44 Mouthwatering Recipes for Salads, Sauces, Stews, and More is a great cookbook with recipes using tomatoes. Although tomatoes are readily available year round, summer seems to be the time the gardens are overflowing with them, and it becomes necessary to find new ways to use them up. This cookbook includes a variety of tempting recipes using both fresh and dried tomatoes (incidentally, the sun-dried tomato scones are great). While some recipes are for sauces made with tomatoes, there are other unique popular recipes such as Shakshuka, Patlican Soslu, and Caramelized Onion and Tomato Jam. The recipes are written in the traditional form and are easy to follow. Also, the recipes are all fairly easy, so anyone – cooks from beginning to advanced – can prepare them with picture-perfect results. The cookbook includes beautiful photographs of almost every recipe, which is inspiring to anyone looking for a good recipe to use up their tomatoes.
The only drawback to this cookbook is that there aren’t enough recipes. The 44 recipes included are excellent, but this cookbook is way too small, and a proper cookbook selling for the price shown should include at least double that amount of recipes.
All told, tomato lovers will enjoy the recipes in this cookbook, and will want to include it on their cookbook shelves.
