Everyone, it seems, loved the movie, The Princess Bride. Enough, that over the years it has gained a large cult following. Those fans who like to cook will love The Unofficial Princess Bride Cookbook: 50 Delightfully Delicious Recipes for Fans of the Cult Classic by Cassandra Reeder, and will definitely want to cook some of the recipes to enjoy while watching the movie for the umpteenth time.

The first chapter includes beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, which will probably enhance the viewing of the movie for those who chose to prepare these. Each recipe includes notes as to how the recipe relates to the movie and the characters, and as readers peruse this fun cookbook, they will be reminded of how apropos the recipes are to the time and movie. There are appetizers, breads, soups and stews, main dishes, and desserts, all with a slight British slant. The photographs of almost every recipe are professional and mouthwatering. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed with succinct instructions, and so are easy-to-follow for both advanced and beginning cooks; every cook will be able to create picture-perfect dishes to celebrate their love of The Princess Bride.

As a bonus, there are menus that would fit perfectly in the timeframe of The Princess Bride at the end of the book.
