Anyone who owns an outdoor pizza oven will want to pick up Epic Outdoor Pizza Oven Cookbook: Masterpiece Recipes for All Kinds of Pizza, an excellent cookbook by Jonathan Schuhrke. Most of us who own outdoor pizza ovens make our favorite traditional pizzas, but rarely try new ones. Schuhrke has expanded the options for utilizing a pizza oven to the greatest advantage, with innovative and unique pizzas that sound mouthwatering. Those reading this cookbook will definitely have a long queue of “must make” pizzas, as well as calzone.

The introduction shows how to make good pizza crusts, and there is also a chapter with basics including several pizza sauces, pesto, basic cooked chicken and other good things to top pizzas. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by the instructions. This makes it easier to follow the recipes for both advanced and beginning cooks. There are recipes here for everyone including vegetarians and healthy food fanatics.

Included is also information on using an outdoor pizza oven and becoming an expert on making perfect pizzas. There are also beautiful, professional photographs of most of the recipes, making every pizza and calzone look absolutely mouthwatering.

All told, anyone who loves pizza (and who doesn’t) will want to expand their repertoire of good pizza recipes, and will want to make new pizzas every day of the week.
