She has written several bestselling cookbooks so she knows what home cooks want.

This cookbook covers cookies, bars, cakes, pies, and even dessert salads, as well as breakfast desserts and frozen and no-bake treats. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. This is definitely a cookbook for both beginning and advanced cooks. Yeh’s comments at the beginning of each recipe are fun to read and make the recipes seem like something from a friend.

The book is colorful, and includes beautiful, professional photographs of the sweet treats. Anyone reading this cookbook will end up with a long queue of “must make soon” recipes, most of which are fairly easy and have minimal ingredient lists.

All told, this is an excellent cookbook to add to a cookbook collection, and includes dozens of delicious sweet desserts.
