Most people are familiar with The Magnolia Bakery, an iconic bakery opened in 1996 in New York City that originally became famous for its cupcakes and banana pudding, and has expanded to several locations. The bakery has also expanded its bakery items and there are several cookbooks showing how to make their yummy baked goods at home. This beautiful cookbook includes mouthwatering treats to make at home that will entice everyone with taste buds.

As with any good baking cookbook, the first chapters cover equipment, ingredients, and basic information. Those chapters are followed by Icebox Cakes, Icebox Pies, Cheesecakes, Icebox Bars, then Puddings (including their famous banana pudding). Following those, the book includes basic recipes used in the preceding recipes. The author has added comments at the beginning of each recipe, followed by a list of ingredients and step-by-step instructions. The recipes are easy to follow for both advanced and beginning cooks and bakers. One of the best parts of the cookbook is that most of the recipes are accompanied by beautiful, professional photographs that will tempt even the most disciplined dieters. It will be difficult to decide what to make next, and the recipes will keep everyone busy for months.

All told, this is an excellent cookbook full of tempting and beautiful desserts. It will be used often and the finished dishes will draw raves.
