Instant ramen can be boring; it comes with memories of college days, and is very cheap. So why would anyone want to rekindle those memories and eat instant ramen again? Instant Ramen Kitchen: 40+ Delicious Recipes That Go Beyond the Packet, is a reason to stock up on packages and tubs of instant ramen from the grocery or Asian store. This fun cookbook is different from most ramen cookbooks, since it explores the different flavors, as well as add-ins that go with different types. The book includes different kinds of ramen, as well as popular brands.

The recipes are unusual and unique; they transform plain ramen into dishes from all over the world with different flavors, such as Brazilian, Middle Eastern, Eastern European, Thai, Korean, Italian, and West African, to name a few. There are recipes to make ramen appealing.

The recipes are easy to follow and written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions. They also have comments at the beginning of each recipe with tips and reasons to make the recipe. Most of the recipes are also accompanied by beautiful, mouthwatering photographs. The book is very colorful with illustrations.

All told, most of us never dreamed that ramen could be flavored differently than the mundane flavors that come out of the package. This is a very innovative book that starts with a package of ramen and ends up as a gourmet meal. Very fun.
