Hosting dinner parties is often intimidating. So, it’s nice that there are books with steps to help us learn how to do it without stress. Television star, Jake Cohen, likes to make life fun, and also likes to party, so his cookbook, Dinner Party Animal: Recipes to Make Every Day a Celebration, is a great one to pick up.
This excellent cookbook has plenty of tips, including music, invitations, stocking the pantry, table décor, booze, the food, and several other topics to make a dinner party successful. The author, Cohen, has a good sense of humor, so reading this cookbook is fun, as well as informative.
The book is divided into chapters that are dinner party themes. Each includes a menu, grocery list, and preparation timeline, followed by recipes for the items on the menu. The recipes are easy to follow, and are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions. Each recipe has comments from the author about the recipe. Another excellent part of this cookbook is that the recipes are accompanied by beautiful, professional photographs.

All told, this cookbook has plenty of ideas for entertaining all through the year, including parties on the spur of the moment. The recipes are appealing, so readers can add them to their own menus.
