Ablife Records Sign Major Deal with Sony
Dr. Ed Montgomery, founder of the 7,000 member Abundant Life Cathedral and President of church-based label Ablife Multimedia recently signed a national distribution deal with Comin Atcha Distribution Group & Sony/Red. Red is the independent distribution arm of Sony Entertainment and the number one independent distributor in the country. “Partnership with Comin Atcha Distribution” is a great opportunity...it’s a dream come true and now we finally get the opportunity to let the industry know what we can do,” says Dr. Montgomery.

The first project, to be released September 20, is The Healing CD, a compilation of Old Testament and New Testament scriptures set to an original score and read by Dr. Montgomery. The Healing CD will be the first scripture-based spoken word project released in the history of Sony/Red distribution.

Prior to obtaining this distribution deal, Ablife records had experienced success with such singles as Abundantly Blessed, Right There For Me, and All That God Said which all hit Billboard’s top 40 and held positions for as many as twenty-six weeks. Since then, the church has produced such acclaimed albums as Life, There’s Something More and Dr. Ed Montgomery presents ALC – I Still Believe, which was nominated for a Stellar Award.

“The future looks great,” exclaims Dr. Montgomery. The next release by Ablife will be a self-titled urban gospel CD by debut artist Bridgette Taylor September 20. As a result of the deal, Ablife products will be distributed nationally in over 200 major chains including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Circuit City .

A percentage of all Ablife album sales will benefit ministry outreach and local charities.
