We all hope to have children who will be brilliant at whatever it is they do. But when that brilliance begins showing signs of psychic abilities what do you do?

Being their parents, usually we're the first ones to see our children explore, the first to answer questions and when it comes to psychic abilities, the first they'll come to for help.

Because first encounters will often happen during times they are alone, when they do come to us, we may assume the child is either dreaming or imagining. However, when there's a great deal of emotion and facts behind what they're telling us, it could be time to consider the Psychic Child and the role we play.

When it's our child we're dealing with, we may secretly and excitedly hope to have the next John Edwards or worry, as we might have been taught, that our child's soul is now questionable. However, neither may be the thing that's going to help. What will is tending to their needs just as we would if we were to suddenly notice they have an interest in basketball or find an area of challenge they're dealing with.

Deciding on a personal attitude, even if we are uncomfortable, is going to hold the greatest amount of importance. In other children's lives we can look at a child in regards to almost anything and find the parents' attitude in there somewhere. The psychic child will be no different. When you combine what a child is with the role model's belief system, you now have a blue print for the rest of the child's life. When psychic abilities are a huge part of it and they're taught to feel ashamed, that shame will mold other areas such as, mates and goals and sadly, may even offer a life not worth living at all.

When our child demonstrates strong psychic abilities, there is a good chance we have them too. Even if we haven't worked with them before they can come in handy to investigate people and groups, via the internet we might not have been able to connect with otherwise. We may even find some lasting friendships and information based on experience in the process.

Taking a hands on approach such as home schooling is a constructive way to give a child personalized attention as well as a solid foundation for their abilities. Remember to involve them in other activities too with other children. A structured learning process of both analytical and intuitive natures can aid in helpig both abilities learn to co-exist. As they become more comfortable and confident in their abilties, the abilites will have less tendancy to contoll them allowing a more fluent state of being overall.

Just remember, psychic abilities are a natural gift and part of a normal life experience. What has been abnormal is shutting this aspect of our children down. When a child happens to specialize in anything they excel and do even better when support begins in the home. Out of anyone who could have a powerful impact on this support, there is no other than the parent themself. After all out of all the parents in the world, they picked you!
