BellaOnline Today in History Newsletter
Hello,
This has turned out to be a week devoted to Apple. It’s appropriate for me, as I’m typing this on a white MacBook and checking my iPhone and iPad to make sure this newsletter looks good on mobile and other devices. I’ve been a Mac person ever since I learned to use a computer (not counting the time my family owned an Amiga), so I really enjoyed researching these latest articles.
Here are the week’s features from Today in History at BellaOnline:
The Apple Lisa
The Apple Lisa

The Mac’s older sister is an unsung herald of today’s computers, phones and tablets. Meet the Apple Lisa, introduced on January 19, 1983, and named after the daughter Steve Jobs once rejected.

The Apple Lisa
1984 - The Apple Macintosh Ad

Apple’s original Macintosh debuted this week in 1984 – but let’s talk about its ad! Broadcast nationally on January 22, it became a legend in its own right, though not without controversy.
Enjoy this week’s articles, and please feel free to send me some feedback. Click on my name at the top of any Today in History page. This will take you to a page with a comment box where you can send me a note.

If you have an idea for an article or a discussion topic, send me a note or post it in the forum. Click here to go there – you don’t have to sign up. Feel free to just read others’ posts. A link to the forum is also available on every page of the site.
Happy reading!
