Newsletter Archive
What happened on this date in...1775? What about 1023? No, no--B.C.? Find out by signing up for the Today in History weekly newsletter!

I will be updating this site at least once a week with articles of interesting historical facts--everything from a daily dose of history to specific events and the goings on of their dates. It's easy to sign up for the newsletter. If you look to the right of your screen, there is a place that says "Free Newsletter." Simply enter your e-mail address and follow the instructions on the screen.

A very important note: we will send a confirmation e-mail to you with the subject "Test Newsletter." This is to make sure that you don't have us blocked. If you do not receive the confirmation newsletter, we have a bit of work to do. You will have to check your spam-filter settings and set them to allow us access. If your e-mail would require someone to send a confirmation e-mail back to you, please address this now and just add us! I promise you, your information will be seen by no one--not even me! I won't sell it to the highest bidder nor will I send you anything other than what you've requested: the newsletter! If you want a newsletter from another editor at BellaOnline, you'll have to go to their site and sign up with them directly. I won't give your information to them.

This newsletter will keep you up to date on articles on my site, as well as in the forums--what? You don't have a forum account? You must fix this! Go to the forums by clicking on the forum icon to the right of the screen--next to the picture of the envelope for "mail"--and create a user name and password. By doing so, you grant yourself access to the BellaOnline family. You can post questions, have discussions, post your own experiences, and, perhaps even make some new friends.

The Today in History site brings a fresh perspective on history. If you were to ask a student about his least favorite subjects in school, History would most likely be near the top of the list. As a sixth grade teacher, my students would ask me almost daily, "When are we ever gonna use this?" The truth is, never--unless you end up on Jeopardy or a master's tournament of Trivial Pursuit. But, history can be very interesting and that is what I bring to you: History at it's most fascinating.

Sign up today for the FREE Today in History newsletter and never miss an opportunity to learn something new...or old, as the case may be.
