Hello and Happy Autumn!
There is something so special about this time of year.
It seems to be a time of starting again for some, like school.
For others, it seems to be a time to slow down, a time to reflect, strengthen your resolve to maybe start – or to finish something.
This week’s article is on pancreatic cancer. I did not know much about it really until last week.
Much of my research about it, and prevention pointed right back to diet, especially preventing or even correcting diabetes. A low-fat diet is a must in preventing this disease, along with balancing out blood sugar levels.
Those most at risk are those who:
1. Don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables.
2. Do eat too much red meat.
3. Do drink too many sugar loaded soft drinks.
4. Diets high in any foods or drinks containing fructose.
So, Do eat more fruits and veggies. Limit the amount of red meat in your diet, drink water or tea. I am a hot tea drinker, and there are many delicious varieties and flavors available for most anyone!
Check them out! The boxes alone that contain them are gorgeous.
Become a label reader! If you see the word fructose, put it back on the shelf!
Be sure to visit the Low Carb site, for a cookbook eBook for good ideas and great recipes, and be sure and visit the Weight Loss site which has good ideas and tips for losing weight if you are having a hard time dropping a few pounds,... like me...I’m going to visit it, soon!
Both of these links I put at the bottom of the article. I put them in as hyperlinks here. If for some reason they don’t work, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do to remedy the newsletter links.
