Greetings Everyone -

By sheer luck I got online after trying to make a connection for seven hours and three calls to AT&T. A technician is due here on Thursday since they determined something is wrong with my phone line.

This past Thursday at school Matthew ran out of his classroom, around the playground and ended up at the school gate. I submitted my letter Friday morning requesting an emergency IEP to do a Behavior Support Plan for this type of incident as they have been occurring often, yet a parent has to ask for written doumentation of such instances.

I also requested his school records. On Tuesday I spent two hours observing in the classroom with the SLP and AAC personnel and noted the lag times where my son just sits and waits for adult prompts and the aides all took their morning break at the same time. An article on all this will be forthcoming when my connection has been stabilized.

We had back to school night on Friday for Nicholas. A neighbor was brave enough to watch Matthew for 45 minutes so Nick and I could run around the corner to his school for this informative meeting. We learned the voting for the student council is on our voting day, November 7th. He wants to run for Vice President. Also they need a volunteer to help out in the library after school and he is interested in that.
