We woke up this morning to our first frost! The lawn and gardens and cars are all silvery where they weren't sheltered by trees or buildings -- not a heavy frost, but a warning just the same. Summer is over. Sigh.
Fall colors are beautiful, however, and the holiday season is upon us here in the USA. Or so marketing would have us believe, LOL! October and November are particularly busy for Bahá'ís, as well, with several holy days and - at least in the US - unit conventions to elect delegates who will in turn elect our National Spiritual Assembly next April.
The first of those holy days is coming up October 20th, and the latest article from the Bahá'í site at BellaOnline.com is a quick report on it:
Birth of the Báb
One of the three central Figures of the Bahá'í Faith, The Báb announced the coming of Bahá'u'lláh, Prophet/Founder. The anniversary of His birth is celebrated October 20.
