Greetings to all from Northern Nevada! Cante Waste Nape Ciyu Zapo! Osiyo!
The fuzzy warm days of Autumn are back. Not long ago we had snow here and it turned pretty cold for several days. Now the sun has been out, it has been very warm during the day and cool at night. The Autumn colors are brilliant!

McCain and Obama address NCAI:
Both candidates were invited to attend the 65th annual National Congress of American Indians convention, held in McCain's base state of Arizona. Neither appeared in person but they sent video messages and colleagues to Phoenix to press thousands of tribal leaders and tribal members for support.

For those cold, snuggly evenings, here is a reprint of my Mayan Hot Chocolate recipe:
Mayan Hot Chocolate -- makes about 4 cups
2 ounces (squares) bitter, unsugared bakers' chocolate
1 cup hot water
3 tablespoons honey
dash salt
3 cups hot milk
4 sticks cinnamon bark
Chop chocolate and heat it in the water until melted. Add the honey and salt then beat while adding the warmed milk. Froth it
up with a little muscle power and that favorite whip of yours. Serve the hot, hot chocolate in BIG mugs and top with a little
whipping cream if you've a mind to. What a way to end the day or just to cozy up on a cold afternoon or evening with a good book. Well, it's also good with breakfast!

Till next time, may your heart and moccasins always find a happy path.
Blessings and Walk in Peace and Harmony
