Hello Tatters!

I had a request from a tatter seeking info on tatting events and meeting other tatters. There are two good ways to get the info you need. First join the local tatting guilds in your area and then join the International Org of Lacemakers, Inc. (IOLI). Since this tatter lives close to Canada, I suggested she join the Fringe Element in Ont. They meet in a town north of Niagara Falls area. Some guilds have a membership fee, IOLI does, but some request a piece of tatting as dues; Fringe requests a tiny heart once a year for their demonstrations. Also near her is the Finger Lakes Tatting Guild in Hector NY. The largest annual meeting of tatters is the Palmettos Tat Days in the Fall. Their dues are one
tatted butterfly.
