October 24 2008 Motorsports Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another F1 newsletter, catching up with the news from the last few weeks, and a recap of some recent articles on the BellaOnline site.
In the news:

The FIA and FOTA met in Geneva this week to discuss the raft of cost-cutting measures proposed by the FIA. Although we had no specific details, and a lot of what came out of the meeting was announcements of further meetings, it looks as though it was a positive step.

Luca di Montezemolo, boss of Ferrari, has said he’d like to see the team orders ruling disappear. He said it’s obviously a team sport and there’s no reason Kimi shouldn’t have handed his place to Felipe, and to pretend otherwise is just hypocritical.

Force India have confirmed their drivers for 2009, with both Fisichella and Sutil retaining their seats. Boss Vijay Mallya said he had been happy with both their performances this season, and saw no reason to change them for the next.
