Here is a reminder that tomorrow night we move the clocks up one hour and then it will be dark at 5 pm. Also with the Sunday newspaper this weekend comes the BIG TOY BOOK from TOYS "R" US. They have a coupon inside that will give you a ten dollar gift card when you spend $75 at the store. The giftcard expires on December 31, 2006.

This morning we picked up the DVD - Over the Hedge, which my 11 year old is viewing at the moment. His book interest has been Goosebumps but now he likes the Jigsaw Jones Mystery books and is currently reading "The Case of the Class Clown". These books can be found at the Library and Amazon for $3.99.

I noticed a few days ago a commercial on Nickelodeon for a new series starting in January - The Naked Brothers Band. I went in search of what this is and found this Newsweek article. Seems this is a show for tweens and preteens:

A few weeks ago I signed us up for this Weird 'n' Wild Creatures to get the story cards every three weeks. We got another shipment yesterday and my son just loves this stuff. Here are more details on this -

Back when he was three years old I started ordering the Wild Life Explorer cards and now we have three large books filled with the cards. This has been the best investment for my son over the years as he is a huge animal lover and wants to work with them someday. I spent a few years ordering this and then we stopped and might pick it up again.

You can order these online or call them at the toll free number. This is a great idea for a gift for a child as they keep getting items for their collection once a month.
