Greetings Everyone -
It sure got dark quick tonight and Matthew was ready for sleep at 6:30. At Nicholas's school they had the Halloween parade Friday afternoon. He does not like Halloween, only had a costume once a few years back when we found a Yugioh one, otherwise he thinks Halloween is dumb and not interested in it. We have never gone trick or treating and most years will hand out candy, but not this year as the makeup of the neighborhood has changed and no one else is around to do so.
The parade takes place Tuesday morning at Matthew's school so he is not going. I asked his aide if she could take him to the classroom if it got to be too much and she said she needed to be with the class. Interesting how the class has two regular aides and she is to be with my son.
I am not taking any chances since Matthew has left his classroom a few times as well as the lunchroom and ended up at the gate of the school to leave the premises. I really do not like that a child has to stay home due to a school program happening during class time and not after school hours.
I am attending a CAC/SEMAC meeting on Wednesday that will have a presentation on the changing role of the aides - LAUSD keeps changing the name of them, they were known as TAs and now AAAs, which means Additional Adult Assistance. I will be taping the meeting with my microcassette recorder.
Nicholas enjoyed watching Over the Hedge yesterday while Matthew watched older movies we have recorded. The weather went down 15 degrees in one day, so now we can do our walks around the lake each weekend.
