I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! We only had six kids visit here, in one group. It could be the drizzle of rain - or maybe kids are doing sponsored parties in our area and no longer in the streets. Hmmmmm.

Somehow I sent two messages out with a 405 ID number :). So we're now actually on message 407. Just so you don't think you missed message 406 :).

For all of you authors out there - it's important for you to have a Facebook fan page for your author efforts. This is separate from your personal page. The author page is all about your books and lets you connect with fans in a non-obtrusive way (i.e. you can't see their private posts to their families). Post here with your fan page URL so we can "like" you. If you don't have a fan page yet, post here and we'll help out:

NANOWRIMO

It's here! National Novel Writing Month starts on November 1st, which a number of our editors are already in :). You British Blokes get all the fun stuff first! And the Germans and French and so on :). I highly recommend you all try NaNoWriMo. It's an awesome exercise in writing and time management. It's like meditation - the daily practice is what's important, more so than the final "result".

Come join us! Let us know what you want to work on. It's ok if you're busy. It's ok if you don't have a full story idea yet! The idea is simply to write. Practice writing. Whatever you write, it will be fine :).

And, speaking of creativity, don't forget about the Mused deadline coming up on November 7th. Get those stories, poems, photos, drawings, and other items in!
