Greetings and Salutations -

A few editors asked how, in Word, one sees the different counts like character count-no-spaces and character-count-including-spaces. What you do is first open up your document or article in Word. In the bottom left the toolbar should show you the word count without spaces. Click on that number. You should then see the full details of words, characters with spaces, characters without spaces, and so on.


Streamlined Join-Us Page

Our previous join-us page had ten different pages of information, and then a four-part application form. My aim was to provide everything a potential editor could possibly need to know before joining us. I think, though, that it was too much information and people just couldn't read it all :). So I have streamlined those pages.

Please take a look and let me know what you think! There is now just one page of information. When you click the apply button the sign-up form is also one page.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions about the wording and information provided there! My aim is to focus on the training and support we offer. I think some applicants were thinking, with the previous pages, that we were a blog engine like WordPress. They were surprised at the various courses and training we had available. So I want to make that more clear, that we're here to help train editors on a variety of topics.

I'm eager for any feedback or suggestions!
