I've been reading The Hospital Stay Handbook - A Guide to Becoming a Patient Advocate for Your Loved Ones, which will be released on November 1, 2007. So far I'm impressed by the author's dedication to patient advocacy as well as her detailed descriptions of how to do it! Look for a review of this book during the month of October!
