Sorry for the duplication as the previous newsletter was sent by the system as a very rough draft!

One of the most popular street foods in Bangkok , as well as from seaside carts in Phuket is a dish called Hoi Mang Poo Tod, which is a mussel pancake. It is simply yummy! The mussels are small, sweet morsels and succulent as they are just plucked from the sea prior to the making of these pancakes.

The first time I experienced these crispy pancakes I decided to try making them at home in mini size for a cocktail party appetizer. They were an immediate hit and disappeared quickly. They are wonderful with wine or beer.

Video of making these wonderful Fried Mussel Pancakes:

Fried Mussels Pancakes (Hoi Mang Poo Tod)
Popular Thai appetizer is easy to make at home. This is a favourite "street food" in Thailand for breakfast with steamed jasmine rice or as a late night drink-snack and is served with crisp bean sprouts.
