Just when you thought you got rid of me, I appear in your inbox once again! Well, my mother was none to happy to receive my farewell newsletter so I decided to stay on for as long as time will allow...at least for a few more weeks, if not through the holidays.
You all can make it easier on me if you lend a helping hand by sending one of your favorite Japanese recipes to share on this site as my mother has done for me this week.
Nishime is a Japanese stew made during cold weather months. It could be difficult for you to find some of the ingredients at your local grocery store. Some of my readers asked if I could provide Japanese food recipes using non-Japanese ingredients. That is hard because Japanese ingredients is what makes Japanese food Japanese! (Although I have provided a few such recipes on the site such as Shrimp Balls and Korokke so be sure to check those out!)
But this week's recipe comes straight from my mom who, as usual, rushed to my aid!
Here's the latest article from the Japanese Food site at BellaOnline.com.
