Hi Hot & Spicy food lovers,

These *Hot and Spicy Appetizer Recipes* are pretty easy to make and hard to resist. I have started putting plain yogurt in small bowls nearby to settle the heat, just in case someone finds spicy foods too much for their palate.

Last week I did a personal test of the Debbie Meyer Ever Fresh Green Bags I ordered from HSN. I am happy to say that they did work. All of the vegetables I bought and stored on November 11, fared very well. I ate the last of the Boston lettuce Sunday night, November 19. It had become tired looking. But not bad, it was at the point where you would eat it yourself but not serve to company. Still it was crisp and had just started to turn. If you are familiar with these bags, stop and let us know your experience. Still looking for those other special ways to keep veggies crisp, etc. please share with our H&S family.

[H&S Hints]

* Never store your herbs and spices in bright light or sunlight no matter how perfect the spot seems to be. Herbs/spices are sensitive to light and heat. They will fade and loose color and flavor.

* Put cayenne pepper, chili powder and paprika in refrigerator. The cold will help to keep these spices flavorful and prevent fading loss of color.

* When making potato salad try adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon onion soup mix instead of chopped onions.
