This review is more of an intro - so if you haven't seen the first episode of The Killing II as shown on the BBC just before Christmas 2011, then it won't spoil it for you - and even if (like me!) you haven't yet seen The Killing, Danish original ie Forbrydelsen. Sacrilege maybe, but I believe I bring a fresh viewpoint to this seminal crime series.
