I have just my English final thesis due today, and then my college courses are done for the year! That'll let me catch up on any outstanding issues that are still pending :)

Now that we're immersed in the holiday season, many editors are diligently creating reviews for BellaOnline and the other sites they write for. I wanted to remind everyone to keep in mind the new FTC regulations when you do your writing! This will keep you safe no matter where you are posting your reviews.

In essence, any thing you write a review up for - a book, a product, a movie, a trip, a location you visit - needs to have a statement at the bottom of it that indicates how this review was funded. If you were sent the book for free by the publisher, you have to state that. If you were given a discount on the product, you have to state that. If you got any special treatment from an agency or company, you have to state that.

We provide many examples in the article above, and I'm always happy to give further advice. Even if you're an out-of-US editor, if you are posting your content on a US-based server you need to follow these rules.
