Music and ADD

This week, I'm starting something different. My new articles are usually featured just after midnight, early on Thursday morning. I'm switching this to Thursday evening. I think that gives the article better initial exposure. Of course, you can just use the link below. Since you are a newsletter subscriber, you know about what is happening on the Attention Deficit Disorder site before others do.

Is music a major part of your life? I love listening to the local “Oldies” radio station. There are so many songs on there that make me feel young again. Every once in awhile, the DJ will play “Born to be Wild.” When the first notes ring out, my legs feel like they’ve suddenly shed thirty-five years. Out of the blue, they are a young twenty-five-years-old and ready to fly down the sidewalk on a bicycle or dance the night away. Music can stir emotions in minds. Over the years, I’ve taught myself to use this quality of music to help improve the symptoms of ADD.

I've had several requests to do an article about music. Tomorrow, I am featuring a new article called "Music and ADD." It talks about using music for motivation during various tasks, and how music can affect our mood.
