Greetings and Salutations -
We are heading into holiday madness season where people are making last minute decisions on gifts. Many places like Amazon offer 2 day shipping, so online visitors have gotten used to doing things last minute. This is a great time to polish up your reviews and shops to help ensure readers can find what they seek! Your wise advice about what to go for, what to avoid, and the good and iffy of each item will save them oodles of time and money!
KINDLE
If you're able to get an ebook live, now is the time to do it! In a few days a flood of ebook readers will be unwrapped, and new owners will enthusiastically go out searching for things to buy. If your ebook is there in the mix, you'll be snapped up!
The time-to-live on ebooks is VERY quick. Today was the launch day for my third medieval novel, A Sense of Duty (think Persuasion set in the middle ages). I was literally fine tuning it last night about 8pm :) I loaded it into their system at 8pm. This morning when I woke up, it was live! Voila! So it really is that quick. It already is getting sales. So I highly recommend anyone who has been pushing off their ebook projects to consider cranking through one and getting it done. Even if you block out 10 hours and get it done and live, now the book will earn you income forever from that point. So your one-time investment creates an eternal stream of revenue.
Here's my list of books I have live on Amazon -

Amazon has two separate input streams for their books. One is the Kindle side, where you load in ebooks. The other is the CreateSpace side, where you load in print books. Both are completely free to use. I do have proof samples of some CreateSpace books here - let me know if you'd like me to mail you one and I'm happy to do that, so you can see how they work.
If you're a prime member, you should be able to download my Kindle books for free. There are free Kindle readers for the PC, so you can read Kindle books even if you don't own a Kindle device. Again I'm happy to send along the source files so you can see how they work and exactly how the pieces fit together.
We are here to help you reach your goals. If getting published is one of them, we can definitely do that!
DEC 2010 QUARTERLY WRITING
Our first winner in December is Amber Grey, our Classic Film editor! I adore classic films :) Amber has been writing with us since August 2007. I'm sure Amber can tell us what Christmas classics are best for our viewing pleasure!
Our second winner is Nancy Man, our Baby Names editor! She's been with us since January 2007. Baby names are wonderful not only for babies, but also for dogs, cats, cars, and anything else that deserves a name :)
Congratulations to Amber and Nancy! Please email me with the address you'd like me to send the Amazon gift certificate to, so I'm sure it gets to you properly!
