This week in crime history 12/16-12/22:
12/16/1916-Russian mystic and advisor to the Romanovs, Grigori Rasputin, was assassinated.
12/17/1986-Notorious killer Richard "Iceman" Kuklinski is arrested.
12/18/1987-Ivan F. Boesky is sentenced to 3 years in prison and ordered to pay $100 million in fines for his role in an insider trading scandal.
12/19/1998-The House of Representatives votes to impeach President Clinton on two charges, obstruction of justice and lying to a Federal grand jury under oath.
12/20/1963-21 former guards at the Auschwitz concentration camp go on trial for crimes committed there.
12/21/1980-Martha Crawford von Bulow, known as "Sunny," is found in a coma. Her husband Claus was found guilty of attempted murder for injecting her with insulin in 1982 but acquitted in a second trial in 1985. Sunny remained comatose until her death on 12/6/2008.
12/22/1978-Killer clown John Wayne Gacy confesses to the murders of dozens of young men. He was eventually charged with 33 murders and executed on 5/10/1994.
